Born and raised in Friendly Manitoba, Michelle is a founding member of Shakespeare in the Ruins.
She has participated in every spring production to date. Favourite roles include Beatrice, Viola, Kate, Rosalind, Helena, and Amelia. She also directed King Lear and Stripped-Down Romeo & Juliet. While these accomplishments continue to be a source of pride, she is aware that people really remember her for her entrance made swimming up the river in SIR’s production of the The Tempest.
Other acting credits include Ce Weekend La, Monster Trilogy (Theatre Projects Manitoba), Three Penny Opera (Manitoba Theatre Centre), Diary of Ann Frank (Winnipeg Jewish Theatre), Painting Churches and Zeke & the Indoor Plants (Prairie Theatre Exchange). Other directing credits include: The Twits, Haven, Ginger’s Walk, Jumpers, and Grand Guignol on the Prairie.
Michelle is a proud co-director along with Sarah Constible of the Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir. Combining beautiful harmonies with lyrics rife with social commentary, Fu Fu Chi Chi can be seen regularly at the Girls, Girls, Girls Cabaret: the annual fundraiser for the Gas Station Theatre.
