Shakespeare in the Ruins, Inc. is:

An artist-driven theatre company dedicated to:

• The production of plays, particularly the works of Shakespeare

• The creation of new works

• The use of non-traditional casting and environmental staging

• The development and growth of theatre artists in Manitoba

Shakespeare in the Ruins, Inc. will:

• Create innovative work of a high professional standard

• Foster a love of Shakespeare and live theatre, especially among youth

• Forge a direct, genuine, intimate relationship with our audience

• Use responsible governance

• Uphold the artists’ right to self-determination, and be guided by the principle of

Ensemble, defined as:
“A group of persons acting together to produce a particular effect or end.”
